Religion Vs The Kingdom

 By Jeff Turner
"Religion" is not a person, nor a group of persons. It is a system that enslaves the mind and stunts the growth of the inner person.

It discourages critical thinking, the asking of questions, and listening to the Spirit for oneself. It demands uniformity. In order to belong to the system one must look the same, talk the same, think the same, and do the same as other members. To break with the norm is to risk cold shoulders and possibly excommunication.

Religion makes countless demands on your time, energy, finances, etc..., but never so much as tosses a bone in your direction as payment. It takes, and it takes, and it takes, but it knows nothing of giving. It never says "thank you", for your participation, as your services are seen as obligatory.

Consequently, it can do nothing but produce head cases and control freaks, or burn outs and drop outs. A healthy, balanced lifestyle is not something that "religion" is able to contribute to.

In the Kingdom, however, there is a celebration of diversity!

It frees the mind, and increases our capacity for love, life, laughter, and creativity!

The King always encourages us to think, to feel, to ask and to experience! In the Kingdom, you're encouraged to be different. To be unique! You're celebrated when you color outside the lines, and with the brightest crayon in the box, for to break with the norm is to look like the King!

The Kingdom gives, and gives, and gives, with no expectation of being reciprocated. It is not interested in what we can do in return, as it's foundation is self-giving, others-centered love. It appreciates, and honors those who serve, while never pressuring you to "do more" or to "be more". It's culture is so healthy, unforced, and warm that, in time, it naturally causes one to want to serve in every and any way possible. Spiritual, emotional and even physical health are the natural consequences of life in such a realm.

Bottom line: Religion kills, isolates, and creates the very problems that it rails against, while the Kingdom gives life, includes all, and benefits everything it touches.

Which realm are you living in?

Brooklyn’s Sleigh Bells bring their crashing, bashing noise-pop sounds to Terminal 5

 By Mike Ayers
Sleigh Bells dropped by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night to perform the Bitter Rivals track "Minnie." In true Sleigh Bells fashion, the performance mashed up the band's pulverizing, abrasive rock with Alexis Krauss' sugary-sweet vocals. But they also brought some friends along: Krauss had a trio of backup singers helping out, and a small horn section complemented guitarist Derek Miller's non-stop shredding. Krauss also sported a "Bitter Rivals" jacket, which seemed like appropriate attire for a television spot.

The Fallon performance caps another strong year for the New York City duo. Last October, they released Bitter Rivals, their second album in less than two years. They've been on the road for most of the fall and wind down their headlining club tour this weekend with two hometown shows at New York's Terminal 5.

Jennifer Lawrence Pooped Her Pants

By Matt Dekneef
Jennifer Lawrence made light of her recent health on David Letterman last night, retelling a quaint and charming tale of how she’s been sh*tting her pants all month.

The 23-year-old shared the humorous bout of TMI on national television as an explanation for why she had to cancel all her morning appearances promoting the new Hunger Games movie, out this weekend:

“I just had this really bad pain for, like, three weeks. And you know you can only sh*t your pants so many times a day before you go to the emergency room, before you’re like, ‘I need to go to a hospital.’”

“I thought I had an ulcer, but it turns out it was a ‘fulcer.’ I went to the emergency room.”

To treat it, she had to get an endoscopy—“an endoscopo-something, where they put you to sleep,” she said—which had her adorably freaking out. “The last thing I said,” Jennifer remembered, “was ‘I’m paralyzed!’”

But when she awoke, she was back to her old Jennifer Lawrence self, talking about the bizarre dream she had in her sleep and her interest in serious current events: “I dreamed there was a nuclear bomb that went off. And the first lucid conversation I remember having was about the Kardashians.”

Judge Yourself Rightly Part 1

But if we judged ourselves rightly, we would not be judged. 1 Corinthians 11:31 NASB

Charis Ville Capsule

Judgment has always been deemed negative. Whenever it's mentioned, believers equate it to punishment. This mentality has been passed on through centuries and has always been taught in the church. But today, judgment will be viewed in a different light. We've been admonished to judge ourselves rightly, so that we would not be judged. What does this mean?

We might read this passage and think that it means to examine, i.e; we are to watch out for our wrong deeds and stop them, to prevent judgment. But, this scripture means something different. First of all, if we were to judge ourselves based on the Lord's standard, we'll be found wanting; " there is none that is good". Instead we are to judge our self differently, not based on what we've done, but based on what Jesus has done for us; this is good judgement.

Beloved, people might have written you off as good for nothing, that you would not amount to anything. The painful fact sometimes might be that your experience might concur to what has been said. But, if you can just look away from yourself and unto Jesus: see all that He has done on your behalf. Focus on how beautiful His ways are and on Him as your substitute. Hold on to this picture in your heart in belief and see your life transformed from one level of glory to another.
*To be continued*

Prayer: Lord Jesus, all I see is You.

DON'T WASTE GRACE

But because God was so gracious, so very generous, here I am. And I'm not about to let his grace go to waste. Haven't I worked hard trying to do more than any of the others? Even then, my work didn't amount to all that much. It was God giving me the work to do, God giving me the energy to do it. 1 Cor 15:10 MSG

Beloved, you have been called into a higher life in Christ. You are to live while on earth like you are in heaven— the truth is; you are in Heaven. You have arrived in Heavenly Jerusalem(Heb 12:22). You arrived the moment you became born again, so you ought to live life from that realm.

You might ask; why is my present situation like this, if I've really arrived in Heaven? Thank God you asked. Your present situation does not deter the fact that what God said about you is true. Let God be true and every other person or situation a lair(Romans 3:4). God that spared not His son, but delivered Him up for you, why won't he FREELY give you all things? Romans 8:32.

The interesting thing is; God has already given you all things FREELY for your enjoyment.(1 Cor 2: 12). Beloved, God's intent and purpose for your life is for you to enjoy not suffer pain. Hold on to God's word, and in no time you will see the manifestation of His word in your life.

The Grace of God on your life, is for you to be able to utilize all the gifts and promises that God has given to you. Don't allow the Grace of God to Waste through UNBELIEF.

Prayer: My heavenly father, I thank you for your Grace working in my life. I pray that your Grace in my life will accomplish everything that concerns me in Jesus Name.

ALLOW PERFECT LOVE ABIDE IN YOU.

But if you remain in me and my words of love remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! John 15:7 Paraphrased.

Beloved, when a branch is attached or grafted into a tree, for that branch to become very productive it must get nourishment from the tree. If that particular branch does not get nourishment from the tree, after a while the branch becomes weak and unproductive. The same way as believers we are required to get nourishment from our tree(Jesus) for us to become productive and bear fruit.

Maybe you are abiding in God's love and you are doing all you can to love and serve God with all your heart; this is a great time for you to allow God's love to abide in you. When you abide in God's love only and you continue that way, you weary out and burn out fast. But when you allow the love of God abide in you as you abide in His love, there is nothing you ask from the father that won't be granted. Beloved boast for God's love for you today, not your love for God.

Let the word of Love dwell in you richly in all wisdom....singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Col 3:16 Paraphrased.

Prayer: Lord I pray that your love floors my heart. I abide in your love, and I allow your love abide in me today and forever. Amen.

Learn The Unforced Rhythms Of Grace

"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to grace. Get away with Grace and you'll recover your life.

Grace will show you how to take a real rest. Walk with grace, work with grace—watch how Grace does it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.

Grace, won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with grace and you'll learn to live freely and lightly." Matthew 11:28-30 Paraphrased

You might be facing challenging situations in your life right now, at the verge of giving up. There could be some bad habits you have tried to stop, but all to no avail. Maybe you've cried to God about a promotion in your job or a lifting financially, but the situation remains the same. You've been rejected so many times. Whatever your case might be, I have GOODNEWS for you; Come to Grace.

Grace is not just an unmerited favor, Grace is a teacher (Titus 2:11-12), Grace will teach you to profit in every area of your life. Quit the struggle today and learn the unforced rhythms of grace.

Justin Bieber is Definitely Going to be a Young Dad

Justin Bieber wants to have kids in about a decade from now, and personally, I’m putting money on him naming one of them #SWAG.

“I see myself in 10 years having a family,” Justin said. “28, that’s a good time to really have a family because I want to be a young dad. Maybe, [it’s a] long time away though.”

Despite Belieber-gone-bad Mariah Yeater trying to make him her baby-daddy, Bieber says he’s got nothing in the works.

“Don’t get any ideas, people. It’s not happening anytime soon.”

Justin turned eighteen March 1st and says the birthday is quite the milestone.

He told MTV News: "18 requires a lot of responsibilities.”

You know you’re old when that sentence makes you roll your eyes. And I don’t even know why I’m rolling my eyes, because I’m not married and not a parent, so I basically still have the same responsibilities as an 18 year old. You wanna know responsibilities, kid? Try having to remember to set your cat’s automatic feeder when you go to Vegas for the weekend. Yeah.

“Moving out requires me to be alone,” Justin said. “Without my parents. So, legally, I can make any decision I want.”

Justin says that his mom is coping with him flying the coop.

“My mom's still going to be there, probably, calling me every day. Probably won't be able to get away from her for too long. 18 is going to be fun. I look forward to a lot of touring and a lot of spending time with my fans, so 18 is going to be a great year."

Church ruined my chance to play for Man Utd

A retired semi-professional footballer who claims his faith ruined his chances of playing for Manchester United is suing the Baptist Church for £10 million.

In a case reminiscent of the 2001 Billy Connolly film The Man Who Sued God, Arquimedes Nganga accused religious leaders of deceiving him "into following false beliefs".

Mr Nganga, 46, from Forest Hill, said he could have earned £20,000 a week, despite never making more than £200 a month in his home country Portugal's Third Division. He quit the sport aged 25 when he converted to the Baptist faith.

He said: "I could definitely have had a long career in the Premiership. I see many players playing today who I am not inferior to - and perhaps even better than. Most midfielders are either defensive or attacking but I was both. I had something new."

After converting in 1989, Mr Nganga spent 19 years as a "fervent evangelist", devoting his life to the Bible and abstaining from sex. Now he is suing the leaders of the Baptist Union of Great Britain, who, he says, "conspired to defraud me of my finances, time and my life".

In papers filed in the High Court, he accuses the church of destroying his social life, causing him "psychological harm" and defrauding him of money through compulsory donations.

The writ blames church leaders for physical assaults Mr Nganga suffered at the hands of people he was trying to convert. It states: "They got upset and reacted violently after being told that they were sinners. I was slapped and punched, and kicked in my left knee, breaking its cartilage."

The church said today that it would vigorously contest the claim. As well as suing the British arm, Mr Nganga has begun a legal battle with the US-based Baptist World Alliance and has written a book, The Millenary Fraud.
