Fashion: Jennifer Lopez Promises Kohl's Line Won't Be Like Sweetface Brand

Jennifer Lopez might be at the highest point of her career right now, but that doesn’t mean that she hasn’t had a few bumps on the road getting there.

Obviously, no one can forget the failure Gigli but there’s more.

In 2001, Jennifer launched a clothing line with Tommy Hilfiger’s brother Andy, which was a big ol’ flop!

She says that she’s upset that people didn’t give her line a chance.

She told the New York Times:

"That was sad for me. I just felt like I never got a fair chance to do it right. And on top of it, I felt like I was trapped in a situation I couldn’t get out of, and my name was stamped on things that I didn’t believe in."

Just cause that line was a failure doesn’t mean her new collection for Kohl’s will be a failure. She is going to have complete creative control so whatever she puts out there is going to be all J. Lo.

"The difference this time around is that Jennifer is fully engaged with a company that is professionally staffed to really develop anything she wants, from towels to knee-high suede boots. Literally, her wish is their command. She lives fashion."

It was just this week where J. Lo’s stylists said that she so good at her wardrobe that she could be a stylist.

Let’s hope she brings her sense of style to the new line. We don’t want to see any cheap looking nasty clothes.

  1. I love J.Lo's fashion and I'm sure she'll bring great ideas for this new line. I go searching for J.Lo's fashion styles all the time and found this vid on her fashion sense and where to buy her style for a good price. Watch this for more deets: http://bit.ly/mjWSig
