Report: L.A. City Attorney Is Fighting To Jail Lindsay Lohan

The L.A. City Attorney’s office plans to ask Judge Stephanie Sautner tomorrow to send Lindsay Lohan to jail, according to TMZ. The City Attorney, who prosecuted Lohan in the first place, will argue to the judge that she indeed violated probation, despite the fact that the Probation Department is siding with Lindsay.

Apparently, they’re going to make the case that Lohan’s behavior caused her to get kicked out of the Downtown Women’s Center where she was doing community service. And that’s a direct violation of her probation, which you know, says she’s gotta not get kicked out of that place.

From there, the City Attorney will ask the judge to sentence her to jail, according to sources. But the sources wouldn’t reveal exactly how much time they’re looking to put Lindsay away for.

The Probation Department, however, thinks Lindsay has done what she’s supposed to be doing. Sources tell TMZ that the Probation Department officials will tell the judges that Lindsay has been in “substantial compliance” with her probation terms. Yes, she was kicked out of the Downtown Women’s Center because she didn’t show up, but they argue that she has a whole year to complete the 360 hours, so she’s still on track.

Part of Lindsay’s probation includes seeing a psychiatrist and taking a shoplifting course. Lindsay has reportedly finished the course, probably because it’s one class and 30 seconds long: Lesson #1: Don’t shoplift. Lesson #2: Refer to Lesson #1.

Lindsay’s shrink is also satisfied with her appointments, saying she goes “regularly” and that’s good enough. Which probably means the shrink is just sick of meeting with Lindsay and hearing about how she’s still “got it” because she crashed the Kardashian wedding and took some photos with her mom.

The hearing will begin Wednesday at 10:00 a.m., Pacific Time. Last time Lindsay was in court, the judge made it clear that if Lindsay violated anything, she’d be headed straight to jail.

Celebrity dad Michael Lohan says that the best place for Lindsay at this time is rehab.

“I still contend that she doesn’t belong in jail. I want Lindsay to go into rehab for a year,” Michael says. “She needs long term care. Between pictures of her with bad people and her teeth, it is quite evident that her problems have not been addressed her conquered.”
