Beyonce Addresses Baby Bump Conspiracy

Usually when celebs address a baby bump rumor, it's blaming it on bloating, not trying to prove that it actually is one.

After appearing on Australian talk show Sunday Night HD, speculation began on Beyonce's pregnant belly. Some said it looked deflated as she sat down, and questioned whether Beyonce was carrying her own child. It was even suggested that she hired a surrogate to carry the kid.

Beyonce's rep calls the claims "stupid, ridiculous and false." I think that means it's not true.

Media Takeout was the first outlet to suggest that the singer exposed a "fake baby bump" while sitting down. I guess those pregnant Beyonce bikini pics didn’t do anything to convince them. Beyonce should totally pull a Kardashian and get an X-Ray over her stomach, then post it to twitter.

During the interview with Sunday night HD, Beyonce announced that the baby would be due in February 2012.

"I just feel like its time and I'm very grateful that God has blessed me with the biggest gift any human can have," Knowles said. "If there's any time, right now is the time, and I'm so happy."

The singer recently announced she was planning a maternity line.

“All I see now are clothes that are flattering on a pregnant woman,” she says. “It’s been so exciting for me! I love figuring out designs that still make me feel edgy and sexy while pregnant.”

She's done a damn good job; starting with that orange Lanvin number she wore to the Video Music Awards, where she initially announced her mom-to-be status.

"I was extremely nervous. It was the toughest red carpet I ever did," Beyonce admits. "I didn’t want a crazy picture or gossip story to break the news, so I decided to say nothing and proudly show my baby bump,"

Beyonce will be working on a maternity collection for her House of Dereon line. She recently appeared on the cover of Harper's Bazaar wearing Ferragamo, and if pregnant women have a glow, Beyonce is radiating. Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci sang her fashion praises.

"Givenchy is made for Beyonce," Tisci said. "I cannot wait for her to give birth for two reasons. First, because I love her and Jay-Z — they are so happy together — and second, because I want to have goose bumps when I see her back in Givenchy.”
