Demi Lovato Defends Her Weight Gain

Lovato showed up to the MTV Video Music Awards wearing a plunging mini-dress, showing off her tan and her curves. She looked great. But apparently, some people interpreted her figure as “fat”, because the singer took to Twitter to defend herself when her weight became a topic on the site.

"I’ve gained weight. Get over it," Lovato Tweeted.

Under the hashtag, #demilavato (yes, it was misspelled), Twitter people kept criticizing Lovato’s figure when she showed up to the VMAs. The singer defended herself, writing: “That’s what happens when you get out of treatment for AN EATING DISORDER.”

I like that Demi is defending her body and is proud of it, but arguing with people on the Internet is like trying to reason with a cracked-up homeless person planking in the middle of exclusive stores' parking lot (yes, I saw this happen over the weekend). The point is, you can’t argue with crazy.
