A source tells RadarOnline.com: “Arnold realises he is to blame for the collapse of his marriage. Maria was a loving wife and mother, and he doesn't think that any amount of money can minimize what he has put her through. He wants to do the right thing, and go above and beyond what is required of him under the law.”
What’s required of him by law is a 50/50 split of the couple’s assets. Schwarzenegger is reportedly worth between $500-$750 million, and settlement discussions between he and Maria have been ongoing for a couple of months now.
"This is going to be a very amicable divorce,” the source continues. “And it won't be played out in the media. Neither one of them wants that.”
Yeah…it’s a little late. We already know that Arnold fathered a thirteen-year-old boy named Joseph with his housekeeper. We know that when he found out, Joseph yelled, “Cool!” And yes, at first, the media respectfully blurred the kids face out of photos to save his privacy, but when the public was like, “Naw, we don’t give a sh*t, let’s see it,” they happily revealed Joseph’s face. And we all saw that he was the spitting image of Arnold.
So I’m pretty sure the damage has been done.
