Amy Winehouse's Mother On Her Death: "It Was Only A Matter Of Time"

Amy Winehouse’s family members have issued a statement a day after losing their very talented daughter/sister saying that the loss of Amy has left a hole in their lives.

"Our family has been left bereft by the loss of Amy, a wonderful daughter, sister, niece. She leaves a gaping hole in our lives," the Winehouse family said in a statement. "We are coming together to remember her and we would appreciate some privacy and space at this terrible time."

Amy’s dad whom she was very close with was in New York City for a jazz show as he heard the news. "I'm getting on the next plane back. I'm coming home. I have to be with Amy," he reportedly said. "I can't crack up for her sake. My family needs me. I'm devastated; it's such a shock."

Unfortunately, her mother Janis knew that this day would come and it was "only a matter of time"

She had seen Amy 24 hours before she passed and "she seemed out of it," Janis said. "But her passing so suddenly still hasn't hit me."

"I love you, mum," Amy told her mom as they parted ways.

"They are the words I will always treasure," Janis now says. "I'm glad I saw her when I did." Meanwhile, Amy’s ex mother in law is worried that her son Blake Fielder-Civil will “kill himself” once he finds out that Amy has passed away. “Blake will kill himself. He won’t make it without her. He will be devastated, totally and utterly devastated. He’ll go straight back to self-harming. I’ll have to ring the prison and he’ll have to be put on watch.

“He was always ringing her and she was always ringing him. Blake always wanted her back. She couldn’t walk away from him and he couldn’t walk away from her. Her and Blake were both lost and we handled it badly.”

Many blame Blake for getting Amy hooked on drugs
