Clarence Clemons has died at the age of 69.

The world-renowned saxophonist recently suffered a major stroke and had initially reacted well to treatment but sadly passed away on Saturday (18Jul11).

As well as enjoying a successful solo career, Clemons was a regular in Bruce Springsteen's E-Street Band and had also tried his hand at acting, appearing in TV drama The Wire.

He recently collaborated with Lady Gaga on the track The Edge of Glory from her latest album Born This Way.
