Uduaghan to redeploy Delta corps members serving in troubled Northern States

Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, yesterday, restated the commitment of the state government to the well-being of corps members of the state origin serving outside the state.

He said the government will look into the plight of its people serving in the troubled parts of the North, particularly those serving in Bauchi State with a view to redeploying them to serve in any place of their choice within the state.

The Governor, however, added that the state government will liaise with the authorities of NYSC in doing this.

Uduaghan spoke through his deputy, Professor Amos Utuama, SAN, during the burial of a corps member, Mr Elliot Adowei, who was killed in Bauchi during the violent protest that trailed the declaration of President Goodluck Jonathan as winner of the presidential election held on  April 16.

Describing  Adowei, who is survived by a widow and three children, as a hero, who died in active service to his fatherland. He pledged that the government will immortalise him.
