Finally, Mariah Carey Announces Babies Names

Mariah Carey has officially announced the names of her new children. And thank god, because I was getting worried they were going to be referred to as "dem babies" for the rest of their lives.

On their website, Carey and husband Nick Cannon announced that the babies are named Moroccan Scott Cannon and Monroe Cannon. Monroe, the girl, was named after Mariah's icon, Marilyn Monroe, and Moroccan was named after the building design of the couple's NYC home.

It's a cool name, but I don't know about telling the kid how he got his name. "Your sister was named after a beautiful movie star. And you? Well, you were named after an apartment."

"Scott" comes from Nick's middle name. Monroe doesn’t have a middle name, taking after her mother already.

Mariah's spokesperson said, “It has been a long, emotional journey for this family, and I couldn’t be happier for all of them.”

The couple got renewed their vows in the hospital on their anniversary and on the day the babies were born. So cute!
