Lamido Sanusi: Named among the 100 most influential people in the world by TIME Magazine

Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, was Thursday named among the 100 most influential people in the world by TIME Magazine in its annual list.

Sanusi was number 11 on the  TIME 100 list alongside world renowned Nobel Laureate  in Economics, Prof. Joseph Stiglitz;  the German Chancellor Angela Merkel; President of the United States of America, Barack Obama;  British Prime Minister, David Cameron, US Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton;  Lionel Messi, FIFA Footballer of the Year, among others.

Sanusi is the second person to be so named on the TIME 100 list after the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who made the list last year.

The full list and related attributes will appear in the May 2 issue of the magazine, available from today Friday.

TIME Magazine  explained that the TIME 100 list, now in its eighth year, recognised the innovation, activism and achievement of the world’s most influential individuals.
