Nicolas Cage's Son In Hospital After Street Fight

Nicolas Cage's son Weston Coppola Cage, was hospitalized on Tuesday (7th June 2011) afternoon after becoming involved in a fight on the streets of Hollywood. Nicolas Cage's son was admitted to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre with unspecified injuries and the Academy Award-winner has now joined him at the medical facility, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Authorities responded to reports of the fight near Ivar and Selma avenues, but no arrests were made at the time. A Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman told E! News that no criminal investigation is being undertaken. Celebrity website Tmz are reporting that Weston may have been arguing with his trainer after being told he couldn't eat something on the menu at the Farmer's Kitchen restaurant.

The spat allegedly spilled onto the street, with police handcuffing Weston shortly afterwards. Weston's father was arrested in New Orleans back in April on suspicion of domestic abuse and disturbing the peace. Prosecutors later declined to press charges according to the actor's attorney.

Weston Coppola is Nicolas Cage's son from his relationship with actress Christina Fulton. Weston appeared in Cage's hit movie 'Lord of War' as 'Vladimir', a young Ukranian mechanic who disarms a Mil Mi-24 helicopter.
