An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale struck off the southern coast of Indonesia's Java island Tuesday, but no injuries or damage was reported.
The quake struck off East Java province at 7:14 am (0014 GMT) and was centred in the Indian Ocean, 170 kilometres south-east of Blitar, the Meteorology, Geophysics and Climatology Agency said. It occurred at a depth of 25 kilometres.
No tsunami warning was issued.
