Fashion: Versace Launching Children's Line

This has been a long time coming! Versace has announced that they will be launching a children’s line. Because you know, parents these days love to spoil their kids with $2,000 dresses.

Labels like Fendi, Gucci, Stella McCartney and Lanvin all have children’s collections so it was only a matter of time that Versace would get back on the bandwagon.

The name of the line will be called Young Versace will target infants to kids age twelve.

Versace used to actually have a children’s line called Versace Young, which was discontinued back in 2004, but this has nothing to do with that line.

“This is a high-end, glamorous and colorful collection in line with the brand’s essence, with a touch of rock ’n’ roll,” said Gian Giacomo Ferraris, chief executive officer of Versace SpA.

The collection will debut for in spring 2012 during the international children’s wear exhibition. And after that we will be seeing a lot of rich kids wearing Greek frieze and the Medusa. Hot!

  1. I can't imagine buying my child Versace anything- even if i had money for it. Children shouldn't reap fringe benefits of the wealth of their parents. Thats how children become spoiled and get those feelings of entitlement.

    The designs are nice though
