The accident happened around 6 p.m. at the bridge connecting Miami Beach's exclusive Palm Island to the MacArthur Causeway.
City of Miami Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene and rushed the singer and one other person to the hospital.
Jorge Pino, a spokesman with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, said Kingston and his female passenger "needed medical attention."
Palm Island is a residential neighborhood that is accessible only by bridge.
Family and friends gathered at the hospital immediately after the accident.
The cause of the crash was under investigation Sunday night.
