4.7 quake hits Jamaica

An earthquake, approximated at 4.7, hit Jamaica around 10:00 am local time today.

According to the USGS, the epicentre of the quake was located 20 kilometers south of Black River, St Elizabeth at a depth of 21 kilometres.

There were reports of the earthquake being felt in Negril, Montego Bay, Mandeville, and Santa Cruz. There have also been reports of damage to buildings in the Kingston area.
