A child abuse detective was called in to investigate Nic Cage on the night of his drunken arrest after a witness told police he saw the actor push his 5-year-old son to the ground during an alcohol-fueled argument with his wife.
New Orleans PD is on the case. According to the police report, Nic’s wife Alice told cops they had been arguing “due to his intoxicated state" but said he never became violent.
She accidentally let it slip that Nic had been drinking before they went to go pick up their son from a friend’s house. Nic was driving.
According to TMZ, Alice told cops that they argued all the way home at which point she claims, "Mr. Cage fell while holding their son. The fall caused the 5 year old to suffer a minor abrasion to his left knee."
But her story is very different than a witnesses. A witness, who claims to have seen the whole thing go down, said: "Mr. Cage pull the male child to the ground by his hand."
According to the report, "A child abuse detective was notified."
Cops say they wanted to interview their son -- but Alice wouldn't let that happen.
When cops went to go talk to Nic, he was reportedly "hysterical" and "irrational".
Sounds like this guy has a whole new set of problems coming his way. AA anyone?
